To All Troopers of the 3rd Tenn. Cavalry,
Southern spies are reporting that Union troops are building up in the area of the Round Barn farm in Manhattan, Tenn. (IL). Our company has been directed to scout this area, and attempt to secure high ground for a battle.
Our next campaign is the Battle of Round Barn Farm. We will work closely with the 2nd Kentucky Cavalry. I am sure we will be a great force to be reckoned with in the field.
Round Barn Farm is located at 24115 S Us Highway 52, Manhattan, IL 60442.
Next Event is Hesston Steam Museum, June 20,21,22, 2014, followed by Lakewood Forest Preserve, Wauconda, Illinois July 11, 12, 13, 2014.
Southern supporters and cavalry scouts report the Union Army concentrating in the area just outside of Manhattan, Tennessee, (IL)
General Braxton Bragg and General Forrest have ordered all branches of the Army of Tennessee to meet at Round Barn Farm by 9:00 AM on the morning of June 6,7, 8, 2014. All reenactors are asked to be present by 9AM both days. Saturday evening meal is not known at this time. Water, straw, hay,and wood are all provided as well. Please contact Trooper L. Powell if you would like to provide items for breakfast/lunch. This is always appreciated. The next event will be in Manhattan, Illinois June 6,7, 8, 2014.
I will provide additional information to our upcoming events. This event is open to all involved with the 3rd TN Cavalry, including civilians.
Please inform 2nd Lt.Wright or Sgt. D. Weglarz (708-418-2320) if you are planning on attending this event. We need good numbers for rations.
